What do dogs wish for? Does your dog have his own stocking above the fireplace awaiting tasty treats from Santa? We'll try our hardest this year to get these dogs who we love so much into great adoptive and foster homes for the holidays, but in the mean time they sure would be surprised to receive a few items off of their Amazon Wishlist! Will you play Santa Clawz for a homeless dog this year? Check out the wishlist here: http://a.co/8dRpygo

Main Street Live

@ Main St in Downtown Bradenton
This is downtown's most popular street party! Old Main Street (12th Street West) between Manatee and 3rd avenues is closed to vehicular traffic as vendors line the streets and live music plays throughout the night. The events usually start around 5 p.m. and end at midnight.
Got Dog Stank?
This is one fundraiser we can really get behind! These candles are 100% soy wax made in the USA and are specifically designed to neutralize pet odor.

Holiday candles make great gifts anyway. Maybe you know a festive spirit who typically decorates their house with dog hair? These products come in tasty scents like candy cane, gingerbread cookies, and bamboo watermint (whatever that is, I'm sure it smells better than wet Labrador.)

Pros:
- Trick people into thinking you're baking cookies
- People will forget you have 6 dogs
- Every purchase benefits our rescue dogs
- ... Bamboo watermint.

Cons:
- None, obviously.

Order through our special link to participate in the fundraiser. Fundraiser ends on December 14th, so let's get those orders in!

Home for the Holidays
We are thrilled to announce we will be celebrating the holidays this year with another partnered event with Manatee County Animal Services, our local animal shelter! We'll be leaving our own dogs behind in order to find homes for as many county dogs as possible, but we'll still have our booth set up with lots of FMN goodies and information for new pet owners. If you come out to adopt a new cat or dog, be sure to stop by our booth for a big congratulations and a photo!
This two-weekend event will take place on Dec. 9&10 and Dec. 16&17 from 10AM to 5PM at our local county shelter
305 25th St W
Palmetto, FL 34221
The adorable dog photos for this flyer were taken by Stacy White Photography and those pups are all waiting at MCAS looking forward to this event!

"Continuing the award-winning collaboration recognized by the [Sarasota] Community Foundation, MCAS is partnering again with Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue for these special weekends. Forget-Me-Not will be promoting their “Unforgett-A-Bull” Campaign, which brings awareness and education about Bully Breeds, which comprise a large portion of the MCAS shelter population."

The Giving Challenge: Results
We did it! After months of brainstorming, learning, and hard work we have received the results of the individual challenges that awarded non-profits with additional grant money during the Giving Challenge. We were awarded grants in the following categories:
- Best Use of Social Media
- Best Overall Campaign
- Best Giving Challenge Video
- Best Business Partnership
- Manatee Millennial Challenge

We're so proud of our team of volunteers and we are so grateful to the community for all of the support we received during the Giving Challenge and to the sponsors who provided matching opportunities for our donors and supported additional grant opportunities. We can't wait for next year!

For our business partnership, we were proud to join Sarah Brown and all of the staff at Manatee County Animal Services in the effort to find our county shelter animals homes and free up some precious kennel space. We're excited to extend this partnership beyond the Giving Challenge by continuing to do events together and promote our #UnforgettaBULL campaign that brings awareness to bully breeds and other shelter dogs that often slip through the cracks in a shelter system.

Adoptions to Celebrate
Bobby's adoption photoBobby lucked out and found a home for the holidays! Or should we say, they found him? Once they saw his video online, they were pretty much in love. We just adore this family and there are a lot of good feels going around. Thank you to everyone who chooses to bring a rescue dog into your life.

If you're looking for a rescue dog of your own to cuddle when the Florida winter hits 50 degrees, check out our list of adoptables on Petfinder: Petfinder List

If you'd like us to play Match Maker for you, we're pretty good at that! Give us an e-mail at RescueFMN@gmail.com
